My Rights As An American Report post Posted April 15, 2013 Alright, tried something without a real recipe that I have never done before: stuff bell peppers. Basically, I picked up over 75 pounds of fresh vegetables yesterday at a market and decided to do something fresh with it! Gave away about 50 pounds to friends, family and neighbors. Still had a TON left! Decided I had to try some new recipes to change things up around the kitchen for the family. FIRST time cooking with zucchini! I used ground venison, fresh shredded zucchini, fresh tomatoes, chopped garlic, brown rice and fresh bell peppers. Mixed everything together and stuffed the peppers, then oven baked them for almost one hour. Not bad for a first time making stuffed bells!!! Very moist and did not hold together like a brick similar to meatloaf. Fell apart when you grabbed a fork-full.Then I took some fresh green beans and sauteed them in olive oil and a special spice blend similar to Lawry's. Sorry the pic only shows a few, that was all that were left for the picture after eating them straight from the pan! Tasted like REALLY fresh and yummy fries! azslim Report post Posted April 15, 2013 not in to bell peppers but I stuff and grill a lot of jalapeno's and green chiles. Simple mix of whipped cream cheese, some shredded cheese, chives or minced onion, bacon bits or sausage crumbles and a little garlic powder or fresh minced garlic, if I'm stuffing mushrooms I'll dice up the stems and add that to the mix also. I just cut the peppers in half, seed and de-vein them and lay them on their sides, allows the stuffing mix to get a little brown. Goes over pretty good as an appetizer while waiting for the main meal to finish, takes 20 to 30 minutes to cook depending on how hot the grill is.

JLW Report post Posted April 17, 2013 nice... I made some similar.. added a little pork sausage sage flavor with wild rice. I love those things! the brick comes from over working the meat when mixing it... in case you didn't know. James
