unit 6a cow elk

Looking for good location to hunt for cow elk. Early archery.

They are everywhere, you dont need any secret spots. Go hiking, have fun, and good luck

There all over on the north end of the unit, lots of people though, all you need to do is get off the road.

Keep in mind the west boundary is the Oak Creek Highway not I-17.

If it was me I would go to the cedar flats. We did a hunt there a few years back and there was a ton of cows down on the flats. Each year is diferent though. Good luck on your hunt.

Start scouting now. That unit is full of cows. Have taken cows in that unit before and getting off roads is just as important as finding areas that hold more elk than others.

Always! If you stay off the 700 rd and hike in a little bit you will definitely get into elk!
