Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted April 9, 2013 So tell me why this Is so bad ,It has been there for years looks pretty clean maybe some of you are young guys, this is how many stands have been built for the last 30 years.and where do you guys hunt that you have the forest service take peoples stands.the last 2 forest service trucks I have run Into were lost even had a map.had to tell them how to get out, how Is this stand any worse then a store bought one that someone has left up for 5-6 years? Seldom drawn No difference in any stand being left out for years other than this one looks like it came off that Famous Duck Show........you are walking out around in the woods and come across a lounge chair in a tree.....just looks trashy and not very responsible on the part of hunters.......... I must not hunt where people put up stands because I have never seen such a stand. I have seen ground blinds built out of sticks and brush but never anything like that........ GotBowAz Report post Posted April 9, 2013 I'm gonna go out on a limb here…ha ha, get it?? Duck Dynasty duck blinds are not one of a kind. I’ve never even duck hunted but I have seen blinds just like those all over in Michigan and it is of the norm. Not only that they are building them on their own PRIVATE property so unless its public land no-one has a right to say a blind cant be built however one would like to build it. Anyway that stand sure looks like composite wood and not real lumber. That stuff is very expensive but it will last for years. Seems to me these fellers plan to be back but I do agree, it is trashy looking for sure. It’s on Public land and needs to be removed. You are absolutely correct about private land as well, I could care less what a person builds on their own property...well unless it is making my shack look horrible of course.....
