AZhunterNCJ Report post Posted April 5, 2013 So I was lucky enough to draw a bull archery tag: 4B. I know the area fairly well but usually hunt on my own. Dont know if that will be a wise option knowing what it takes to get an animal this big out n to the butcher in a timely manner. If anyone would like to share camp or have a hunting partner I'd be happy to team up. Ill start scouting hard around mid May if anyone wants to join me. If anyone wants to give me any pointers ill happily take those also since this is my first elk hunt. Thanks and good luck on the scouting and tagging out process
Antmo23 Report post Posted April 6, 2013 That's a good tag, you should get into a ton of bulls. I had that tag in 2010 with two of my buddies and we all tagged out. We were into bulls everyday, nothing giant, but I had two chances at two diff 320+ bulls. Find a caller, it'll make your life so much better...
HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted April 10, 2013 That hunt it awesome. My buddies drew this tag 2years in a row. Last year we hunted the biggest bull ive ever seen alive. He was 400" easy. Had our opportunity blown by 6 guys piled up in a rhino/ranger driving off road listening for bugles. Starting and stopping the engine. They were 100yrds from the bull n they had no idea he was there. One of the best elk hunts ive ever been on non the less!
