3B bull tag

First time applying and I drew the late 3B bull tag. I have never hunted in my life (well before 1.1.13), let alone Arizona...

 

Was this a good draw? Heard 3B has some monsters...

 

I have a lot to learn VERY quickly...

Any elk tag is a prize. And every unit that offers bull tags hold huge bulls. Some units are well know for producing big bull but all units have big bulls. Get to know the area . After the rut find where the bulls went. During your hunt, hunt hard. Every thing else is shot placement.

Any firearm tag in AZ during the rut is an awesome (I would almost say once in a lifetime) tag. A 3B bull tag is no exception.

I guess I assumed you got the Sept hunt, if you got the Nov hunt its a little different story. Still a good tag, but it will be a lot tougher hunt.

Thats a awsome hunt my uncle gets a elk every year with that tag if it snows alot hunt around timbermesa and portermountain area if there isnt any snow or alot hunt in the higher elevations around turkey hill and brown creek good luck

what he said is best advice for the unit i've spent a lot of time in 3b may want to check the woolhouse wilderness and congrats on the tag
