Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted April 2, 2013 SELIGMAN, Arizona — Authorities say a 12-year-old appears to have shot his father accidentally while on a hunting trip in Seligman. Yavapai County sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn says 31-year-old Francisco Pacheco-Lozania died Friday after being airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center. He says the Verde Valley man and his son had been riding in the back of a pickup truck when it stopped, and the boy took aim at a prairie dog. D'Evelyn says Pacheco-Lozania stood in front of his son just as the boy fired his rifle and was struck in the head. Deputies initially have labeled the shooting accidental. D'Evelyn said Monday that the case won't be closed until all the reports, including those from the medical examiner, are complete. Prayers for this young man and his family..... PRDATR Report post Posted April 2, 2013 That's devastating for the boy, man my heart really goes out to the whole family. It is tough for a kid to grow up without a dad and this, regardless of how it happened is going to be extremely hard for him to live with. His father sounds like a heck of a man taking his son out to teach him to hunt and spend time with him.

A rabbit jumped up and he jumped out of the truck to shoot at it and the others in the truck started to shoot just as he stood up. shoot in the back of the head with a 22 lr. I spent days and days with him as he went through rehab to gain as much back as he could.it was all an accident but is in my mind every time I pick up a firearm or let my children.
