yotebuster Report post Posted April 2, 2013 High fence? The velvet is pretty consistent with ranched deer... ?????? Because????? From what I've seen deer that are healthier shed velvet the soonest, thus ranched deer would shed even sooner then a wild deer, any deer still carrying velvet in Feb obviously has something wrong with it, an injury etc, be it on a ranch or not..... Back to the real topic, holy smokes!!! Amazing buck!!

COOSEFAN Report post Posted April 2, 2013 Congrats on a great buck!!! I've got several ranches near Querobabi and have hunted there a lot over the years. It can be a tough area to hunt because the deer densities are low but as is evident with your buck there are some giants there! It is weird that it looks like your buck never rubbed much and still has dried velvet all over it, none of the muleys we've killed there were like that. Here's a pick up head from just outside of town there.
