"as littls as 5 hours on the border" in some areas it will be more like 3-3.5 hours down on the line before it is time to head home at that all important 8 hour mark.

In plain terms what this means is agents will loose $1,000 or more per paycheck. More importantly, our nations 'leaders' care more about budget cuts to national security then anywhere else. Agents will spend 3-4 hours on the line since they are now FORCED to work 8 hour days everyday.

Worst part about this looming issue is the fact that they are "now hiring" but cutting the guys who are already hired. Sounds bass akwards.

Yep! I have a friend that lives in Queen Creek. He works for BP patrolling the boarder on horse back. Because of the location of his office and the maditory furlough days and no OT he spends 2, yes 2 hrs a day actually patrolling the boarder. The rest is spent loading the horses and driving. He also took a 40% pay cut.

He actually signed the bill that funded CBP with the money they needed through the rest of the fiscal year. The problem is CBP has appointed that money towards the port of entry instead of spreading it out or even giving $$ to the border patrol.

And V.P Joe Biden's hotel bill in Paris France was over $500,000.00 The Fed's seem to have enough money for everything except the important stuff......like Border Security.

The fed's had to cut everyones pay so the King and Queen can continue to burn tax dollars on vacations
