Holy Smokes what a shoot out Mitch Seavey has taken the lead and checked into Elim. It looks like the teams are having to travel on land instead of crossing the ice, this could be bad ice or a bad storm. PRDATR Thanks for showing the leaders.

I used to live in Elim, it is along the trail... It is truly an amazing race... Those dogs are amazing,.... Single minded and heck bent...

Lovely country. I was lucky enough to get invited to Unalakleek to fish up the river and stay a few days at a cabin one of the locals named Vance had a ways up on the river. Was quite the experience and had an interesting flight with Jim Tweto in some big old plane he used to haul gear in when we hunted Caribou at a place I believe was called Granite Mountain.

I would love to do it one more time before I leave this earth.

The country around Unk is awesome.. That was where the school districts main offices were so I spend a lot of time there... Did a bunch of fishing there, we hit the silvers pretty hard.. MAN.. good times
