jamaro Report post Posted August 30, 2006 Did you guys and gals see that they are going to reintroduce otters into NM? In the Upper Gila and Upper Rio Grande? Is there enough water to support these guys? http://wildlife.state.nm.us/publications/p.../0829otters.htm
missedagain Report post Posted September 14, 2006 The az g$f released some otters on the verde. Never got to see them but a guy I know that lives on the verde said he used see them playing on the bank and eating all the chubs. I am sure that there is enough water to support them in NM, just hope the NM g&f doesn't start closing off large areas of "Otter habitat" to all entry like the az g$f does here to protect are road kill eating bald eagles. fatfootdoc Report post Posted September 14, 2006 j-, There is plenty of water, but what are they going to do when those otter make it into the streams that have the gila trout and spinedace minnow in it? they protect all those stupid fish only to let one of their most voracious predators loose in the river systems? Maybe they are vegetarian otters or they are going to train them to not eat fish What a bunch of morons ! AG
