I'm still waiting for my first cat. While Javelina hunting in 20A, I spooked one but by the time I got my crosshairs on him there was a Nissan Xterra in the barckground. The second one was just this last cow Elk hunt in 7E. I was there to help my partner Steve (RIP buddy). No Elk tag but I did have my license and he had a brand new 7mm-08 I didn't see the cat but my buddy Tom across the way said he came with in 50 yards of us just on the other side of a hill. I probably still would not have taken the shot as it would have scared any Elk out of the area. I'll get em next time.
