CouesWhitetail Report post Posted March 9, 2013 I have had a lot of packs but the Outdoorsman's Pack is the best one I've ever had, bar none!! With all the straps runnin all over that thing you can find a way to put a half dozen or more sheds on your back pretty easy and it'll still be comfortable to wear. In fact once I got to the truck I put the 3 strapped together in the back and then took the pack off my back and set it on the tail gait. It was funny cause I tried moving the pack around with all the sheds strapped to it still and it was one heavy SOB. But on my back it felt like nothing. If any of you are in the market for a pack I'd advise you to go to the Outdoorsman's with all the stuff you typically carry around in your pack and put it in that thing. I typically carry about 2 liters of water, Swarovski spotter, tripod, camera, video camera, hand held radio, extra batteries, knife/multi-tool etc... I would guess that my typical pack weight would be around 30lbs somewhere. More in the winter of course when I'm packing around jackets n stuff to stay warm. At those times your pack can get to 40+lbs pretty easy. Anyway, all I can say is that pack is amazing! Like you, what I loved about the pack was the sensibility by which it was designed...straps everywhere for the hunter who carries a-lot of stuff. Your list of hunting essentials matches mine, so I'm even more positive that the comfort I feel walking around the house will translate to the field.
