hunter4life Report post Posted March 1, 2013 Awesome fox. I have only seen one red fox in southern NM, they are quite rare. I did manage to kill a silver fox a few years ago when I was deer hunting on Kodiak Island in Alaska. The pure silver phase makes up only about 1% of the foxes on Kodiak and is even more rare in other areas. I did a full body mount, it turned out good. Couestracker Report post Posted March 1, 2013 WOW, that is really cool....and rare! Get it to a taxidermist sooner than later so the hide is taken care of. Wouldn't want it to slip. Thanks for sharing. Couestracker
cosninocanines Report post Posted March 1, 2013 Very cool get this to a taxadermitist ASAP they can cape it out and then you can decide, sell the fur, cape it or mount. Freezer is good but lots' of problems if you let it sit.
