You've been used as a pawn. There were no spending cuts. The only thing that was cut was the percentage of the increase scheduled for this year. Spending will be HIGHER this year than last. But the powers that be need to make drama points so they can spend even MORE.

 

You notice they did not cut their pay or cut entitlements to the "needy"

Casey, the Gov't found money to launch rockets into space today instead of letting you keep your hard earned money. If I were you I would get some guys together and request a face to face meeting with one of your senators and / or Reps and ask them why they let the White House get away with this crap. We also sent billions to the Muslim BRO-Hood. BILLIONS! Yet they are crying about $85 billion in so-called cuts that are not really cuts. Your union should be in court and at the White House steps tomorrow but we know who's boots the unions lick.

Casey my wife works for the Feds and we will be seeing a huge loss in pay checks coming soon, it will be hard on those who have a baby on the way! Wish you the best of luck, we have a kid and he's deaf, speech runs us just short of 200 bucks a month, which we won't be able to afford once the pay cuts happen, at least you got a load of guns and selling 1 gun should cover the cost of labor bills

I have been a teacher for six years and have only had one raise 1.5%.. Life's cost keep going up, and me and my wife struggle to keep a float. The way I see it, it is what it is... I had hoped for a change in leadership, but it didn't happen. I guess I just need to ride it out in hopes that things will eventually get better. What I will say is that I cherish the moments and the memories that I have with my daughter.. I hope one day that she will see a world that is just and where she has an opportunity to strive. I am probably thinking unrealistic, but this is my hope..

No worries bud, when I make my run for the White House in 2016, this will be one of my favored campaign slogans:

 

"Africa can feed it's own poor, lets worry about the starving kids in Oregon & Arkansas. But we won't worry about Texas, they can figure it out on their own."

 

I also promise to trade California to Mexico for something that is infinetely more valuable ( a costco size package of tortillas & a 12 pack of coronas), & we're going to sink Chicago into Lake Michigan, because they deserve it. Although, I'm not sure how we're going to get by without Hollywood & all their spot-on politcal commentary....
