What will happen if ..........

Recommended Posts

Finally you have managed to get within good shooting range of the deer you being looking for...........or you have put your kid within his/her comphortable shooting distance, deer is unaware that your are there......you aim for the vitals and then............................

Some shots rang from somewhere close and scare the heck out of you and also the deer ran away and then some more shots and!!!!!!!?????...........................you find out that some javelina hunters were shooting at the javelina herd.

What will you do? How will you feel? Do you think that this may happen during the next November deer/javelina season? Will the hunt will be a failure? Time will tell?

What will I do? Depends on whether they kill a pig or not. If they end-up killing one, then I'll likely congratulate them and be back after the deer the next day. Do I think it will happen? Rarely.... my $.02.... Will the hunt be a failure? The only hunt that is a failure is one that is not enjoyed. I hope I won't let that 5 minutes of the hunt dictate if I enjoyed my precious time in the field or not. My friends and family will make the hunt, not the one guy who is out there after a pig. As you say though, maybe only time will tell.... :D

Well said, Stanley.

Actually, I had similar experiences back when I still could draw a bow. I'd be bowhunting for javelinas in the Willow Springs Ranch country, or the Santa Ritas, and quail hunters would spook the herd I was stalking. I chalked it up to bad luck and went looking for another here.

Hunt failure -

"hunting" for another beverage in the bottom of an empty cooler.

Teach yourself or your kid to shoot faster. While realizing they have the same right to shoot as you or your kid do. Teach your kid that those things happen when hunting and be a good role model and find another deer.

I am sure that it will happen this year and that we will hear about it and I am sure that if it happend to you you would be angry about it. Its just life and Stanley put it the best way that anybody could.
