Big Browns Report post Posted February 25, 2013 Has anyone had any luck shooting 40 grain bullets out of a 16 inch barrel and 1-9 twist? Thanks!
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Nope, but I shot them out of a 1/8 and they shot great. If they are pushed hard enough (which shouldnt need to be extremly hard) they should work just fine.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted February 26, 2013 I've shot 36 and 40 grain .22 long rifle out of 6-10 twist ar's using the .22 bolt carrier. For what most people care about.... It's been accurate, 1.5 inch or less group at 100 yards with all twist rates. Unless your shooting steel target comp. it's good and fun.
