Lv2hnt Report post Posted February 16, 2013 Hey all: Came down to Tucson from Gilbert this morning (Saturday) to see my grandson (Swan/Grant Rd), b-u-t ... Made it to intersection of Orange Grove/Oracle when my truck absolutely D-I-E-D!!! Had work done on it earlier this week (replaced distributor with new one) --- evidently wrong diagnosis done there! Truck ran fine on highway this morning, but simply died at stoplight in town. Truck is '98 Chevy 4x4 with 15,000 miles on replaced 5.7l engine. Engine cranking over STRONG, just won't run. New fuel filter a week ago. I grew up in Tucson, but it's a Saturday --- any CWT gear heads out there who might be able to spare a little time and share their expertise this afternoon (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday)? I'm thinking problem might be with crank sensor or related wiring (but I'm not a mechanic). Check engine light is on. I can be reached on my cell phone: (480)760-3868 ... Appreciate any help I can get --- Thanks! Lv2hnt aka Tom Wagner
