218buck Report post Posted February 5, 2013 My daughter Tessa shot her first javelina on the last day of the juniors pig hunt. After several days of hunting and many miles of hiking and glassing she was able to connect on a 170 yard shot with her Remington youth model 243 with the help of a tripod with the claw attached that thing was rock steady . She feels very confident with this set up she has taken her deer with it as we'll hopefully we will get to use it for elk this year .
