I know this is a little late....but how about 7e early archery bull on 5pts??

24% - 6 Points was the Bonus Pass

So i drew this hunt..

But if i didnt and I had 6pts for next year, does that mean i would automatically get the hunt...or? How does the bonus pass work?

So after lurking on here and being fortunate enough to get a tag, I realize how lucky we were. You guys are nuts! But, I just wonder what my odds were...

Me and a buddy put in with 0 combined points and drew 3104, I told him it had to be single digit odds...

Josh

3B late Muzzloader is at 12% draw odds with zero bonus points.

alright I am being lazy and haven't read through the entire thread or the website. Can someone give me some quick info on how it works?

Is the $25 fee a one time/monthly or annual fee to use it?

Can I check as many times as I want with the $25?

Is it $25 per state?

is there a difference in the monstermulyes.com site compared to the hunterstrailhead.com site?

OK I think thats all the questions I have at the moment sorry for the laziness at the moment if anyone wants to help me out with the answers.

Hunters trailhead is $25.00 annually and its well worth the money unless your a genius like Flatlander and know how to work your own spreadsheet.

My odds were a little more generous for 3104 with 0 pts. I figured somewhere near 15%. Still some pretty long odds.

Hunter's Trailhead is a service that Monster Muley's used to post on its site. They now charge $25 for an annual subscription, and thats a bargain seeing as you get draw odds for every hunt in the west. Having put this info together on my own just for the AZ elk and Lope hunts. Believe me its worth the $.

Camofreak - Here is a link that explains the draw process and what the Bonus Pass or 20% Pass is. Basically the first 20% of tags from every hunt go to the people with the most points. For the 7E archery bull hunt it took 6 points to be in the top 20%.

I asked about a couple units earlier in the thread. I ended up putting in for 6a archery with 7 bonus points and got drawn due to the bonus point pass I think.

Great information posted by flatlander! If you don't want to pay the $25 and would like free information on how many people are putting in for tags by bonus points, you can get it right from the azgfd website! It may not be quite as detailed of information on draw percentages, but it will tell you how many people are applying per unit by bonus points. To get there go to the azgfd website, click on big game draw on the left side, scroll down to draw cycles and hunt permit application deadline days, scroll down to bonus point process, scroll down to actual bonus point reports, then pick your hunt by genus/hunt number. Also in a different window load the 2012 big game regulations so you can look up hunt numbers to a unit. Also remember Arizona doesn't break down residents and non-residents by bonus points, so for the most part there's no exact way to tell how long an Arizona resident may take to draw in most units. if your a non-resident you can tell when you'll be guaranteed a tag a bit easier because your likely in the 10% max bonus pt pass for the harder to draw units.
