Snapshot Report post Posted January 28, 2013 My sister got a red light ticket in the mail and it cost her $500 . She was behind a semi and didn't see the light. She talked to a lawyer but he told her the pic shows you going through the light...nothing I can do. She ended up paying the ticket. $500 bucks.......ouch. I haven't hada moving violation in 17 years. Whats up with the ridiculous fine prices?
resolute Report post Posted January 28, 2013 Throw it out. They have 45 days to serve you. Unless you sign for your daily mail, they cant prove you received it. Wife has gotten quite a few and they have yet to serve us

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted January 28, 2013 I have received two of these over the past about 5 years.... When i was served for the first one, i was in the academy and my truck was parked at my parents house. I was in a different state and she served my mom..... I probably could have fought it because i wasn't served but oh well. The second i received in Tucson and got served at my house in casa Grande.... I blame that one on Larry as we were going to meet him to go hunting and he wanted to meet so early i was running behind.
Lucafu1 Report post Posted January 28, 2013 you dont have to be personally served for it to be legal, just someone of legal age. and they have 120 days to serve you, not 45 or 90.

I haven't hada moving violation in 17 years. Whats up with the ridiculous fine prices? I haven't had a speeding ticket in many years but I got one 2 months ago doing 47 in a 35 and it cost me $221. I parked a big truck close to my sisters house in California last summer and spent the night at her house and got a parking ticket on a big wide street with no no parking signs and that ticket cost me $250. Was told trucks can't park in that town...States want/need our money.

Ringer Report post Posted January 28, 2013 I had the camera on East Shea flash me in the left lane doing 55mph. It has never flashed before at that speed which is 5 miles over. I did it in the same lane the next morning doing 53 and it flashed and my middle finger was in front of my face. Waiting to see if they ticket me and I will go to court. I did ignore one three years ago and the servers are a PITA. They are not supposed to come after 8pm. First and second ones went away after a few rings and knocks. The third one came at 9:30 and banged on the door for 5 minutes. I finally took the 12 gage and chambered a round right next to the door and he left quickly. ThomC Report post Posted January 28, 2013 I received a speeding picture. I signed up for a class. It turned out that that class was in spanish. I complained to the instructor, she said I can take it anyway. I sat thru the whole four hours pretending to understand. I got my completion paper signed and left. They only want the money. My two years is up so now maybe if they catch me again I will take a class in chinese. WHAT A JOKE. I take my business out of Tucson now.
