Snapshot Report post Posted January 27, 2013 Guess what showed up in my mailbox.? A photo radar ticket accusing me of running a red light. Taken 12/24/12 at 10:26 a.m. However, I did not run a red light. I was turning right at an intersection during a red light which is legal. I came to a complete stop, and turned right when traffic was clear. WTF? If I was guilty I would man up and pay, but I didn't do what the tickets says.??????? What do I do? Fight it? Avoid the process server? If I don't respond and the server comes to my house before the 90 days is up, I am liable for an additional $81.00 in fee's if found guilty Opinions? Snapshot Report post Posted January 27, 2013 toss it in the garbage and don't lose any sleep over it. That ticket is my evidence. I all ready have them on 1 item for dismissal. $335.00 for a red light ticket? They should send a jar of vaseline with each ticket.

123456 Report post Posted January 27, 2013 Do not answer the door and hopefully it disappears. Worst part for you is that, they usually do not let the big tickets just disappear.
bonecollector Report post Posted January 27, 2013 I had one about 5 yrs ago it was my fault my speedometer was off. I ignored the ticket 2 times, then the process server left the ticket on my security door. I was not home at the time but my wife was and she did not answer the door. So I check on the status of the ticket and it says "served". I could of fought it since I was illegaly served but it seemed like more trouble than it was worth so I just went to traffice school and I had to pay the process server fee. Later learned the ticket is not a moving violation, could of saved my time not going to traffic school.

deercrazy Report post Posted January 27, 2013 I had a similar situation a few years back. I stopped at the required line, but could not see to the left. It was around may 1st so sun was up early, and you could not see a car without headlights on. There was a place on the ticket with a website, and you could see the video and not just the still picks. I was able to fight the ticket because the video clearly showed me stop and then inch forward stopping until I went. I think that it will not cost you more to fight it. I read some info on the internet that if you log in to access your ticket info you are considered "Served" ?

If you check the pics on the internet, it's the same as being served. I got my pic taken when the car in front of me was speeding so the cam went off when I went thru, and I have yet to see it. As far as the one that you did get, I would ignore it. I did this with my tickets from Phoenix. Not sure if it's different cuz you're in Tucson and the violation was in Tucson. Good Luck. muledeerarea33? Report post Posted January 27, 2013 Don't sign for any register mail, don't check it online, and don't talk to the server. If you do... You admit fault. If you don't..... They can't ticket a person unless it given by an actual officer or server. My dad got one about 5 yrs ago when the cameras first started in Tucson, he avoided it all but when registration time came, he had to pay the ticket before he could register his vehicles. He lives in greenlee county

joe hunter Report post Posted January 28, 2013 My sister got a red light ticket in the mail and it cost her $500 . She was behind a semi and didn't see the light. She talked to a lawyer but he told her the pic shows you going through the light...nothing I can do. She ended up paying the ticket.
