I use my box call mostly but knowing how to use a slate and a mouth call just ups your odds of putting a tag around an old gobbler's leg.

If you can get your hands on a Knight and Hale "Yella Hammer" - it's the best AZ turkey call I've seen. I've called in so many AZ toms with this slate for my boys, and I'm not a good caller.

I looked into it and thought about it and I am going to have to pass on doing one in Tucson this year. Maybe next year.
