Legislature now in session

Recommended Posts

The session began yesterday. Nearly 100 bills were pre-filed. Nothing of concern on the wildlife front yet. We need to be alert for another attempt by the tag grab crowd or anything else that will adversely affect the sport we so dearly love.

A quick scroll thru tells me that they are trying to ban high cap. mags in AZ!!! Atleast that is what I get out of 1050!

Shame on New York for hopeing that the rest of the US follow in their footsteps.

There are now 327 bills in the house and 105 in the senate. A couple of gun control bills.

The most important bill for all citizens is HB 2284. It would require that the flag, constitution and bill of rights shall be displayed in all classrooms grades 7&8. and the flag shall be displayed in all classrooms 1-12. A time shall be set aside for the Pledge of Allegiance. It will be important to see who opposes this one.

Hello Archery... Sad to see you trying to stir a non existent pot. You should know as well as anyone that the AZSFW was disbanded and that all the money players have said goodbye to political ventures in AZ....Besides, it looks like the AZGFD is handling all the access issues now based on the Big Boquilla's pending compact. Just make sure you bring your wallet over the next decade to wherever you need to hunt. I like / dislike some of the items in the compact but it is certainly the wave of the future.

BPJ I am well aware the AZSFW is gone and said so on this forum several times. However, supporters of HB 2072 like yourself are still around. You may not propose anything like it but there others just might.

It's important to watch for all legislation that might affect G&F or our wildlife.

Its also very important that issues concerning hunters interest and the interests of Americans in reguards to Constitutional rights are watched and monitored - great job Archerycrazy and hope more people take an interest in what some groups might try to sneek thru !!

we do know some politions can easily sponsor ill gotton bills!!

thank you for your vigilance - KEEP IT UP

BPJ i see you are stirring the pot

seeing how most of the same people are still on the board of azsfwc we need to make sure they know we are watching and havent forgot -

pretty sure they stated they had nothing to do with legislative issues-- is that what they still claim!!!

watching and having concerns of legsilative bills that can affect hunters is a GOOD thing, along with many other items !!
