cosninocanines Report post Posted January 11, 2013 I'm looking to upgrade from my old Bushnell rangefinder and was hoping to find some reviews or suggestions on whats my best option. My needs are rifle hunter ranging shots to 500 yards. Typically in pinion pine fringe so cross canyon and hillside. Flat shots! Very rare up or down majority of the time, so ballistic or true distance a must. Thanks to everyone who gives me some feedback.
Viper Report post Posted January 11, 2013 I recently bought a Leupold 1000i TBR. I really like it. A huge improvement over their older models. They are right around $400. The non-TBR is around $350. I think it is the best RF in this price range. The Nikon Rifle Hunter models have good reviews as well.
yotebuster Report post Posted January 12, 2013 You'll see this posted multiple times after I post it, but Leica, Leica, Leica. That is the only rangefinder that exists in my book, unless you're strictly bowhunting.

Coach Report post Posted January 12, 2013 Leica and Swarovski are of course, the best of the best. Don't overlook the Vortex Ranger though. For under $400 you won't find a better one.

cosninocanines Report post Posted January 14, 2013 Cabela's Bucks ain't they great! Leica 1600 B on order. With your input and reading a lot of reviews for various rangfinders I opted for this one. Spent more than I planned but with all the options and 7x power I felt this was my best choice. Now I have to get these old bones off the mountain and on a hillside in unit 22 and put 'em to use. Thanks again, cosninocanines
Kaffer62 Report post Posted January 14, 2013 Cosnino, I just bought the same rangefinder 3 weeks ago and all I have to say is wow. Fastest rangefinder I have ever used. So far the furthest thing I have ranged was 1930 yards.
