KiLLAcOuEs Report post Posted January 10, 2013 So at 4pm I just got out of work and I was contemplating going hunting for the rest of the evening. So I finally decided to go out and man did that turn out to be a great decision. So I got out to my hunting spot and my Mother and Father in law were already there. My Mother in law was glassing a real big 4x3 that was bedded with two to three doe's. My father in law was making a stalk on the buck from the right side so I decided to go to the opposite side just in case the buck ran to the other side I could be in position. So I started up the mountain and as I was going I noticed that the wind was bad and thought to myself no way in heck am I going to get anything. But I said o-well I'm here lets see what happens. Soon after I saw that the deer got spooked and were running my direction. So I got ready knocked an arrow and waited for them to come into the canyon I was in. When they came into the canyon they ran right underneath me no more than 20 yards but the doe's came to a complete stop and were looking in my direction. I though oh crap they winded me!! They immediately turned around and started going back the way they came but instead of going back into the the canyon they went back 30 yards and started running up the hill 30 yards from me, and I saw that the buck was following. I had only one opening that I had pre-ranged at 32 yards and as the doe passed I drew back and when the buck came into view he stopped for a milla-second and I let the SWHACKER fly!! The buck then went on a death run stumbling and finally piling up no more then 30 to 40 yards away!! I bought my first ever bow this past August and I cant believe I was able to bring down this Brute of a Buck with my PSE BRUTE-X!!! Don't know what he scores and don't care all I know is I am a very happy man right now!!!

Redman Report post Posted January 10, 2013 Wow, lucky.... I look at luck brought on by your determination to go hunt with a little more than 1 of daylight left (would have been easy to sit at home), getting into the right spot and pulling off the shot!!! Awesome!
