southernxpress Report post Posted January 5, 2013 Well I started a new job and don't have the time to spend with them like I did before and I hate to see them go to waste. I don't want to sell them, but I probably should. I would like to sale them all together if possible... They will come with all the packs (panniers) and saddles (sawbucks) that I have for them... you take them and you are ready to go and before hunting season is over too! My truck is pretty tall and they hop in the bed with no trouble, so hauling them is easy. They are all pretty young with plenty of years left in them.. The oldest is the doe.. 2 1/2 to 3 years old and has been pregnant once. Easy temperment and follows well on the trail. (no horns) The second goat is Haas and is about a year and a half old and super friendly willing to please. He is the largest and is the reddish and black one with horns. The third is Shooter white and gray he is probably about a year old maybe a little more. He took a little while to warm up to me and I wasn't sure how he would do on the trail, but he really surprised me on how well he does... he went everywhere I went and there was some pretty rough country. Great herd for someone wanting to get started with pack goats. $600 for the whole works.. goats and all the tack and if you take the whole bunch I'll give you what I have left for food for them too. Best way to get a hold of me is texting.. but if you call, leave a message and I will get back to you. Todd 602-677-3791
elkiny Report post Posted January 5, 2013 You learn something new every day....I didn't know that you could use goats as pack animals, thats cool. I wish I had a bigger backyard or farm land cuz I would take them. I had a goat as a kid and it followed me every where, never thought about bring him with me to the hills though. southernxpress Report post Posted January 6, 2013 Ya my wife didn't realize I put them up for sale and she is sad to see them go, they are fun as pets too. I haven't posted them on Craigslist yet.. I would rather see someone put them to good use here chasing coues. Ya my space is questionable too and thats part of the reason for getting rid of them.
