bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 I went to get a haircut this afternoon. My barber was closed so I decided to go chase a little fork horn until I saw something bigger. Well it was getting dark and I crest a hill and see a doe staring at me. I'm thinking mule deer then the white tail goes up and she poe-go sticks away like a mule deer(hybrid?). I start running and kick up another whitetail which poe-go sticks away... This is around Phon D Sutton off of Power Road?????? I still dont believe it. Yesterday I was out in 24b and came upon this hole. Any idea what made it or might be using it? Also came upon this site at a glassing spot. Great minds think alike... naturegirl Report post Posted January 5, 2013 badgers primarily dig holes into the sides of washes. I had to research this when I saw my first badger in the desert a couple years ago. It shocked the crap out of me when we saw this large, but very short thing waddling away from us. We went back weeks later (after finding out what it even was) and found his den right by where we had seen him (the den was on the side of the wash just like the research said it would be). I think the hole looks like maybe a coyote to me. Most of the fox holes I've seen have multiple holes (or attempted holes). I sure wish your camera was more clear. We've ridden our horses out there a bit and used the area recreationally for 30+ years. I've never seen a coues around there - only muleys. BUT, anything is possible. The pics just aren't clear enough to get a really good view of her, although the 3rd pic sure looks like a whitetail to me ) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think it was in the article here on the site that someone wrote about hybrids and posted a link to not too long ago. I agree with whoever it was that said the first two pictures look muley and the last one coues. I have heard that there are coues deer up around Usery Pass. So it could be true. tjhunt2 Report post Posted January 9, 2013 James, there are coues in the area. I was hunting near by there also and jumped a 3x3 along with a doe. Then jumped a spike coues as well.
