November Hunt - New Member

Recommended Posts

I've been a lurker for a long while now but finally decided to register. Happy New Year's everyone -

My wife and I moved to Arizona a couple of years ago and I've been pretty much obsessed with these deer since. Coming fom Texas, we have plenty of whitetails and it took me a bit to adjust to scoring 140" deer to 100" deer. He is just shy of 100" and was pretty rutty in early November, believe it or not. I was able to sneak within 350 yards of him only becasue he was running does all over the mountain.

Here is the deer I took this year in early November. I just wanted to contribute since I read these forums almost daily.

This years deer:

Last years 84" deer relatively fresh to Arizona.

Nice to see you here Greg, but I thought Amanda had standards for members... If you meet them, then she has lowered them over the years.

Casey,

I had to slip her a bit of cash on the side.

Why don't you just build a SAUM in 6.5 or 7 in a faux Ti platform?

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. I have looked at everyone else's coues and I figured I owed my dues.

Nice couple of bucks...congrats! I too like the vegetation on the antlers from rubbing. How do you like hunting coues in AZ compared to whitetails in TX? I grew up hunting TN whitetails out of a treestand, so quite different. I love AZ hunting though...

I had been traveling west to hunt deer for the last 10+ years while living in Texas. While not all hunting in Texas is from a stand, hunting big country in the west cannot be beat for sure -
