Yes i know it is all illegal just thinkin back in time a little. suprising how many people make up their own rules in head.. i stop every guy i see buying bait at sportsmans or cabelas and none have red regs and know it is illegal and multiple have said they hunt private property so regulars laws dont apply to private property heck that means they dont believe the lawful limit applys either. ) what a mess! 4. AZLance Report post Posted December 31, 2013 illegal to place to harvest.... is it illegal to place for trail cams? azlance has some legit questions. James As per Brian Wakling, AZGFD Big Game Specialist, on this forum, you may still put bait out for Feral Hogs anywhere anytime in AZ. So yes you can put your trail cams on your bait piles as long as you are " hunting hogs", wink wink.
GJMauro12 Report post Posted December 31, 2013 I don't really know that I'm talking about when it comes to baiting and the rules that cover baiting but I've read most of the posts on this site about it. I thought they made this law because they decided baiting causes and spreads diseases because it gathers so many animals to one specific area. If that's true then where does the two weeks before season come into play? Do diseases only get spread at corn piles only during hunting season? Or was the law only created because of the success rate?

G&F do not particularly like outfitter x and do not like the fact that outfitter x is so successful using this method. G&F change the rules but need to make up lame excuse about disease, because the idea that they want to limit success but still sell the tags does not sound as good. Right or wrong, this is my opinion and I believe this to be the main factor in changing the rules.

"they decided" are the key words there. Ask them to show you scientific proof that drinking water from one of their 100's of trick tanks is safe and will not spread disease but eating grain off the ground is a disaster waiting to happen.

But then "they" came out with "their" own report that contradicted what "they" said during the baiting ban debate(if you can call it a debate), and the report said there was NO evidence of CWD in AZ, and almost no chance of it ever taking hold here in AZ. hoghntr Report post Posted January 1, 2014 To all who think baiting and doghunting is easy or unfair i can honestly say in 31 yrs of big game hunting that hauling bait for deer and chasing dogs for bear were 2 most difficult hunt methods i have ever used.. like after bear hunt was successful i swore to my guide i would never do it again and id say he was relieved. that poor guy had to keep backtracking to see if i was alive. and corn... well think about it.. difficult.
