GRONG Report post Posted December 21, 2012 A week before the rifle elk season I found this killer looking bull with my son Isaac, we sure had a great time watching this unique elk. I took a lot of pics of the bull and sent them to my hunter Sean to see what he thought of it. He thought of it as "One in a million" like I did so the hunt was on. Opening morning I found the bull 50 yards or so from where I'd seen it the wknd before. A couple well placed shots later and it was all over! Sean had his first bull and what a trophy it is! Sean worked his tail off on this hunt to get to this nasty spot but it all paid off in the end. Enjoy The weekend before with Isaac Glassed this shed about 3/4 of a mile away and we went and got it. Opening morning..... Me and Sean with his bull after having packed the sucker out. Thanks a million to my Dad and his mule and also to my buddy Jim May for all the work they did helping me pack out this bull out of such a nasty heck hole. Oh and on a side note, the shed that is propping up the rack is off the bull from 2 years prior and was laying approx 60-70 from the bull when we killed it. Also, a friend of mine found this bulls fresh sheds from this past spring less than 150 yards from this same spot as well. Here is a pic of those sheds that he found.... They were for the most part very typical, not sure what made it blow up on it's left side like that. But as you'll notice, the 1st eyeguard on each side, one goes up and the other goes down just like it did this year.
