**** EDIT**** Only DIck's made this unbelievable move, sorry for the confusion, Fox news reported Cabelas and Dicks, and I believed them. I was fooled.

 

These stores have suspended all sales of "assault type" rifles until Obama makes a decision? WTF is this all about. Support Sportsman's warehouse, they will support you. Unbelievable that our own stores have caved in. It had to be the gun that killed the students not the worthless scumbag behind it. I do not even own an "assault rifle" , but it really irks me to see these stores prematurely pull these guns off of their shelves. My heart goes out to the victims of any massacre, but ban the mentally incapable people from acquiring the guns not the guns.

I just called Cabelas customer service and asked them about this. They told me it is just an Internet rumor. Does anybody have any other information about Cabelas banning the assault guns?

 

I also called Dicks, they told me they have removed them temporarily out of respect for those involved in the shooting. They also said that the decision to sell them again will not be based on politics. What a bunch of PC bs! I won't be shopping at Dicks anymore.

Apparently cabelas has never sold AR type rifles in Connecticut. The only article I could find about Dicks states that they will not be selling any type of rifle, sporting arms included in the vicinity of Newton Connectiut, for "awhile" out of respect for the victims.

I had the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE trying to order a pair of scope rings from Dick's. I believe after all was said and done it took them over two months to get them to me, even with a two week guarunte. And the rings were improperly milled (Weaver's fault, not Dick's, but still......) Plus it wasn't extenuating circumstances, it was incompetence that was the issue. That was my first and only experience at Dick's. Or first and last, should I say.

This is a complete rumor. Cabelas did not pull "assault weapons" off of the shelf. They just sold out. As far as Sportsmans supporting you, good luck getting much support from the inventory they can hold.
