Will K Report post Posted December 10, 2012 November 30th has me and my son glassing over some good Coues counrty. I sit glassing to the south with only does being located until the sun is to much to handle. I move to the north side of the hill with him and locate two bucks feeding directly below us. I get him set up for the shot and he misses high on the biggest buck. Dang. As we head back to the truck he informs me he has major homework(freshman in college) and needs to head home. Well needless to say im bumbed out and hunt over. For the next 8 days all i think about is how i can get back to the hunt and with work during week and company christmas party the following weekeng im not sure how i can make it happen. Well here we go.... As me and my loving wife are heading to the christmas party Saturday morning which we are staying the night i say Dear would it be ok if we get up early Sunday morning so i can head down for one Last Chance at tagging a buck? Silence.... She says how early? I say well about 2:30 or 3:00am....... She says sure no problem but i want you to know i wouldnt do this for anyone. Yes. Game on. So i call my good Hunting buddy and he is game to come with me to glass. Sunday morning at 6:45am we are sitting where me and my son were the previous weekend and we start hearing talking. I glass up some illegalls talking on cell phones in the bottom. I call BP with GPS Cord. and we head to plan B glassing spot. We get to our next spot about 10:30am and head straight up the hill. 11:30am has us sneeking out on our glassing point when a buck jumps up and heads down the hill. I throw the rifle up and shoot just as he is cresting the hill and hear the whop. Buck down and my Last Chance at tagging a buck worked out. Thank you to my Loving Wife for supporting my love of hunting and to my buddie Dan for helping me out. Will K.
