COUESAZ Report post Posted August 7, 2006 Who can give some good ideas about the dreaded stinky boot problem. I have my danner boots that i have had for a few years, I only use them for hunting and nothing else. But the last time i wore them my wife kicked me out of the trailer. I used order eaters in some other boots and that worked for a while. My other shoes never stink but my leather hunting boots get mighty ripe after a few years. scout4u Report post Posted August 7, 2006 we have all heard of the sacrificial "sock'' (u know when your 2 miles from camp and no TP the one time where pine cones arnt going to cut it) stop wearing them back to camp!
Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 7, 2006 Spray your feet with an antiperspirant before you put your sacrificial socks on. They make a deodorizing soap for neoprene that might work on your boots. RR
COUESAZ Report post Posted August 7, 2006 I would just wear them back to camp and wash them off for the next day.

BASS Report post Posted August 8, 2006 Yeah, I've had my Danners for about two years or so, and they are starting to smell a bit too. Try to swap out the insoles for some new ones and that should help a little bit.
COOSEFAN Report post Posted August 8, 2006 I am jealous you guys have had your Danners long enough to get smelly! I can't get more than a year out of a pair, and usually by the end of January, I'm having to sew them up and forget about being waterproof! Granted.......I put alot of hard miles on them, I'm kinda fat too, but I wish I can find a boot that will last for me. I had the Quarry style 2 years ago, wore the sole out and the toe, last year had the Grand Slam style, the toe cover is coming off and had to sew it back on for my Mexico hunts, and I just bought the Full Curl style last Sat. and hope they last at least a month longer than the Grand Slam's did. The Danners do last for the season, which is more than I can say about all the other brands I've tried, and is why I keep going back to em', it just gets expensive only getting one season outta them. BASS Report post Posted August 8, 2006 Believe me, mine are seeing their last days in the feild. I really should buy a new pairnow and break them in because if I do a lot of walking in them my feet are hurtin' by the end of the day.
