My wife and I picked up leftover tags for the Nov 30th - Dec 9th hunt but couldn't hunt the first weekend due to my son's muley hunt. Anyone hunt opening weekend? Just curious how the deer are moving and if the bucks are moving about yet. We're heading down Wednesday night for the remainder of the hunt.

Was a rough opening weekend. Saw as many mojados (wetbacks) as bucks. I spent more time in the glass than normal as I was trying to find a first buck for the fiancé. Saw about 80 does in 4 days.

Mike, good luck on getting your fiance her first buck! We're going after my wife's first coues so hopefully the few degrees cooler it will be will help. Wishful thinking :). If you guys are heading back down this weekend, shoot me a message.

Dom, if you'd quit tying them up and moving them across the highway there'd be some left for us carp chasers! We'll definitely try and stop by, send me the address to your guys' place.

How many of those "Mojados" actually were wet? " Wetback" is a Texas slang ...... Let's see now .... Would it be PC to use the Arizona slang name here on CWT? How about "Undocumented person walking north"....LOL

I am an American of Spanish-Mexican decent, and in my expertise on the subject, we call them scratch backs due to the barbed wire they cross under, lol.

Well it was mighty hot so they were sweaty wet. I like the scratch back as well though. One of them had the best reaction I've ever seen, trying to hold up a piece of pig thistle for concealment.
