COOSEFAN Report post Posted August 5, 2006 I have the 02' F-350 with the V-10, and IT SUCKS! Awesome power, but you pay for it! I think I'm around 10-11 MPG and like 7-8 when pulling trailers.
COUESAZ Report post Posted August 5, 2006 Well he has an 04 dodge 1500 4 door 4x4 with a big lift and all that crap on it and get 6 - 9 mpg right now. Plus the 600 a month payment. With a new baby around he needs to cut down on something and i told him i would get rid of the truck payment first. then gass will not hurt as bad. The truck only has 70 k on it and a friend of ours said he would let him have it fo 3400.00 so i think it is a good deal. And the thing drives like it is new. James Gleave Report post Posted August 5, 2006 The fuel milage will still suck, but the payment will be better.
COOSEFAN Report post Posted August 6, 2006 My truck is paid off also, and with that in mind, I don't really care about the mpg's. I've had the high truck payments, and payments suck more than just payin extra for gas! Good luck to your Bro! JIM>
DEERSLAM Report post Posted August 6, 2006 I had a 92 F250 long bed with the extended cab. I believe it had a 351 engine with 410 gears. The pig got around 9-11 miles a gal. It didn't matter if it was loaded to the hilt or empty, same crappy gas mileage. I believe it was the gearing more than the engine size that caused the poor gas mileage. Hunting Report post Posted August 6, 2006 I have a 2003 V10 F350 Crewcab Longbed - average about 11 miles around town also & 16 -18 on long trips. Love the power; on the 91 though, you?ll probably get around 8 - 10 miles per gallon. Alan
