Outdoor Writer Report post Posted November 24, 2012 Okay, I realize this is a longshot, but.... Even though I have all the items to set up a comfy camp for a long-term stay, I've decided that I'm too old and somewhat lazy to rough it anymore, i.e. camping out, so to speak. so I'm looking for some help. I would like to preferrably borrow either an RV, trailer or pop-up for my upcoming sheep hunt in 45C near Yuma with the possibilty of using it for the whole month of Dec. Although I can't afford much, I would be willing to pay a nominal amount per day for the privilege. It would only be my oldest son and I staying in it, and we will likely park it in a nearby RV park that is located next to the paved highway. We will be using my 4-WD Durango to hunt. So there will no driving or hauling on rough roads, etc. Both my son and I are responsible adults, and you can be sure I will return it in the same or in better condition as received. My Farmer's auto policy will cover just as it would if I owned it. So here are my preferences in order: Driveable RV Trailer that can be towed with a Class 3 hitch, not a 5th wheel Pop-up tent trailer. I would like something with a 3-way fridge, bathroom, stove, generator and heat but will consider all offers. Obviously, it would be nice if located in the Phoenix metro area, but Yuma would also work. The hunt starts Dec. 1, and I would like get it by Thurs. this week. So if anyone can help, let me know by PRIVATE MESSAGE over the next couple of days. Otherwise, I'll need to go to Plan B, which I don't have yet. We're heading down there tomorrow to scout for the day, so if you contact me, I might not get back to you before late tomorrow.

Outdoor Writer Report post Posted November 30, 2012 I have 45C, Ernesto. As for the RV, we're all covered. TJ Joiner has generously stepped up and will be pulling his 5th wheel down and spending a week hunting with us. He'll leave it with us and head home, then will return to get it whenever we're done. We'll be parked at the Stone Cabin (Randy's Hamburgers), which is right on the highway at King Valley Road. That's the north boundary of the unit at milemarker 76 or so. Outdoor Writer Report post Posted November 30, 2012 I should have added to the above. Due to logistics, we won't be heading to the unit until next Weds., Dec. 5. If anyone feels to urge to come down or visit, please do.
