270 Varmit load

Just got done putting a new Timney trigger and a new to me Bell and Carlson stock on my Rem 700,can anyone reccomend a good factory ammo,good for coyotes.I usually shoot 130 grain,but was wanting to try something a little lighter,maybe 90 -110 grain.Thanks in advance

Shoot the 130. You hit a coyote with a 270 with any load and more then likely its going to blow the piss out of it as is.

 

Whats the best coyote load?

 

The one you have in your gun when you see a coyote!

If you just want to kill them then I would use the cheapest thing you can find like Remington Core-Lok's. Unless you reload and slow them down any jacketed bullet in a 270 will be destructive.

You can also use cast bullets but slow them down below 2000 fps. Head shots are always an option if your hide hunting.

My buddy shoots the 110 vmax out of his 270 wsm, and they do the job just fine. But they tend to make carnage of whatever your hit...
