Electoral College good or bad?

Recommended Posts

Something needs to be done with it. I'm sick and tired of urban America dictating how rural America lives. The leftists have figured out that they can hammer the urban areas to be elected, change the country to have urban values and forget about the rural life. It doesn't sicken me that Romney didn't get elected per se. What sickens me is that the majority of people that determined this election have come from the urban areas that have nothing in common with rural life so we will be forced to mold to the needs of them, their ideals, values etc.

It absolutely should not be about race and unfortunately it has become that. Look at the statistics of voters per race.... there's a huge trend. If the GOP ever hopes to have another person in as president, they will have to find a candidate that relates to the minorities. I don't care if the person is black brown blue or green, but it obviously does care to a lot of folks. I hope the GOP elects to have an ethnically diverse set of candidates run for the next presidential election or this will again be the same result. We live in a different time and place now. It has to happen.

Yes. The heartland is red. East and west coast populated by the clueless are blue.

Popularity vote would have us a new President

But then again look at Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico. All blue

Not sure that the popular vote would work. Leftists can still bombard urban areas to dictate the election. The fact that Obama will appoint 3 new justices will result in the electoral college staying the same. Leftists are wise and deceptive and they know how to win an election.

I would be for a single vote for every county in the country. Then the candidates would have to appeal to both rural and urban to get elected. As it stands now, if the GOP doesn't figure something out and appeal in some manner to urbanites then they will never win another presidency.

The economy was the number one thing on folks mind per exit poll status. Obama has higher unemployment higher food stamp issues among a list of more..... and he still got reelected. People in the deciding states proved that despite all those failures, Obama still needs to be the president.

The electoral college will still exist and it won't be changed. The GOP must appeal in some manner to urban areas in some way. I think the best thing to do is to have an ethnically diverse candidacy that relates in that way as the urban areas are the most ethincally diverse places in America. When they do that, we stand a chance. If they don't then this will be the result from here on out. Watch it happen.

I'm GOP and I recognize that the diversity needs to exist. The USA has changed and the GOP is gonna have to adapt in some manner and that's not all a bad thing as long as we keep our morals and values.

How bout all the Red counties/states start their own country....and all the blue counties/states can have their own country. We can run it our way...they can run it how they see fit. And we can build a big wall to keep them out! :)

If the states split their EC delegates per congressional district instead of winner take all, Obama would have never seen the White House at all.

Anyone notice that the liar extraordinaire, Kirpatrick from Flagstaff, actually won?

You too can be in the US Congress if you just tell lie after lie and promise a whole lot of free s**t to every slacker in the state.
