JMP Report post Posted November 13, 2012 I'm 6'1" and can glass standing up using the Promaster. With the 701HDV head it weighs in right about 4lbs. I often carry two of them with me, one for my binos, one for my cameras. It's really a remarkable little tripod for the money. It shakes in strong winds like any tripod will... which is why they put hooks at the bottom of the center column. All the components, like the collar, the leg angle locks, and bolts are made of magnesium, not aluminum or plastic like the more expensive Manfrottos.
