Id rather shot my self in the foot that vote for a Democrat.

Part of the problem IMO, folks refuse to do a little homework on the people running. Then, voting for the candidate that they feel is going to do the best job for them. (the person voting). Instead, too many people just say, "I'd rather shoot myself in the foot than vote for a Democrat." Maybe, just maybe the Republican will do a good job for that Democrat, or the Democrat will do a good job for that Republican that is voting. Do some homework people, not just voting because of political party.

if you search you will find good and bad on every candidate...

here is my reason not to based on his failure to curb spending when he ran the hospital in Tucson.

In a time when Government has grown to big for it's britches and the need to make tuff cuts, he has proven he cannot do that even when there is a crisis

I will rephrase... I would rather shoot myself in the foot then vote for THAT Democrat. Flake is a tried and true fiscal conservative And yes I have done my research and I would not consider doing research for asking political questions on a hunting website.

You'd be surprised the things I have learned through the years on this site. Some of these guys really do their homework on topics and it is always fun to get a feel for what they have learned.

One thing I wonder about the rampant costs incurred at the hospital..........could it have anything to do with treating patients who are here illegally and not paying their bills??

I can understand that. But that should never be a substitute for doing your own research. Everybody puts their own spin on things Every person ever Network every candidat. But the fact do not take sides.

As for your second statement which parties Policies have turned tucson into a sanctuary city?

I under stand what your saying but Grivalja did not implment these policies alone. Although he fully suports. Them

Grivalja seat in the house is not nearly as influencal as this vacant Senate seat.

If you feel Grivalja is part of the problem consider who he endorses in this race.

I am NOT trying to change your mind 1 way or the other But there are fundamental differences between the 2 candidates And if 1 day before the election you still don't have your mind made up I don't know how much help I can be.

My Mom used to be Richard Carmona's personal administrative assistant when he was in charge of the Trauma center at Tucson Medical Center. I only met him once, but he used to be a standup guy. My Mom always spoke highly of him. However, he got run out of TMC becuase he did not want to play the hospital politics?

WHen he became Surgeon General, he still remembered my mother and sent her a gold christmas tree ornament from the whitehouse.

I really don't know the guy, but politics can ruin even a good man in the end.?

Do not believe what you hear about the hospital. My Mom stood behind (her boss)Carmona during that whole TMC Hospital Fiasco. It was a battle of Politics and profits, and not what you hear about Carmona and the $46 Million over budget. There are 2 sides to that story. TMC was run by some real sharks.

I am not endorsing Richard Carmona. Regardless of his character,

The Republicans could take back congress if the available seats a re filled with Republicans. Harry Reid has made it clear that he will not work with Romney if he becomes President. We all know Reid is a nutjob, but to get this country back on the right track, it will need cooperation from both parties to accomplish Romneys objectives. A republican controlled house and senate would assure that we could move forward, instead of the stalemate that may ensue.

And for the record, I don't put any faith in what is projected in the television campaign adds. All politicians are portrayed as beating their dog and torturing babies before they go to work in the morning. I find these adds laughable.
