is ther a way purposily get an application rejected?

Recommended Posts

my buddy torn his rotary cuff and can no longer draw his bow back, and wont be able to by the jan archery hunt. and would like to get a left over ham or rifle tag, what ever we can find after the draw comes out and the left over list is posted.... but would really like to not have to buy the archery tag, so how can he get his appilcation rejected? we thought we could just go in and "change credit card" info to a bogus number so that it would reject the application and NOT draw him the archery tag.... BUT when you go in to change the CC info and if you have an invalide number then it wont let you proceed until there is a valid # in there so that didnt work... any one else ever try to PURPOSILY get rejected???

thanks

Sounds like a lot of work but, Cancel your credit card and have them issue you a new one. Just tell em it got lost and you want to cancel it. This happened to me 2 years ago, except my bank cancelled my card without my knowledge because of "a potential security breach." They jsut sent me a new card in the mail with a new # and unfortunately this happened right as the draw process began.

Just pay the other 28 bucks for a leftover tag, seems like the hassle of calling up the bank is way more difficult than paying 28 bucks for the 2nd tag

+1....seeing as you can now get an extra pig tag through the leftover draw, why go through that trouble for such a small charge? If you're really counting pennies that closely, just donate the archery tag and get a few bucks back by claiming the charitable donation on your taxes.

because my friend is from out of state and his wife was on the same application, so they want to change weeks to come see me and to hunt.... so that is $210.00 plus another $210.00 for the second tags...

He can always get a crossbow permit for the archery hunt! The process is simple. He calls game and fish and they tell him what forms he needs to have filled out by the doc!

My advice would be to call the G&F and ask them for some options, Sounds like there may be some options.

:)

PS: I feel for your friend with the torn Rotary Cuff. I tore/detached mine and had a cartliage separation (plus a fracture...) while on my kid's junior hunt in early October. I'm now one week out of surgery and getting ready to start rehab. Hurts like a son of a gun! ;) Hoping to be ready to carry a back-pack for the early Dec whitetail hunt! ;) Good luck to your buddy!!!!!

Go buy a pre-loaded Visa card and enter that as your credit card. I have a friend who uses them on the draw, so it should work as a valid CC number. Then, once you have the info updated on the AZGFD page, go out and spend all the money on the pre-loaded card. When they try to run the card for the draw, it will come up with insufficient funds and be rejected.

It makes more work for game and fish, but it should accomplish what you're trying to do.
