Haven't been seeing the big ones like last year, so I shot a forkie with my bow today, and am going to hit the hills hard and try to get my dad a good one.

Still takes some guts to shoot any buck with a bow during rifle season. Congrats and good luck to your pops.

As of Sunday Afternoon they had checked 300+ deer (East & West combined). We saw a ton of deer and a couple good ones at that. As with most early hunt on the Kaibab, the 1-3 year old bucks were the vast majority of the ones taken. It's always awesome up there, can't wait to get back up there soon....
