I think the Paris Hilton idea would be great! If we could just put some antlers on her.....

area Maps, compass, etrex,I like the camleback BMF in O.D. Green - although the badlands 2200 is real nice (and may wind up in my closet.) IV(saline) bags , sutchers , foot powder, mil speck bivy and patrol bag, therma rest( I will never go to the field wth out one- if you dont have one they are worth every penny!!!)water tabs,(havent tried the ceramic filter yet) binos, survival kit in a can ( has every thing you could need if all goes bad) signal mirror, PDW( aka pistol) folder , fixed blade, and a skinner. multiple fire starting implementsas much water as I can carry and the almity TP

Ive thought about a sat phone or a transponder, sat phone plans are pretty reasonable.last I saw ,25 a month for (5) five minn. and a few dollars a minn for over usage.some would argue that that takes the fun out of back country hunting :D im not sue about transponders.

Yeah newbee, I'm sold on the MSR brand of cem-filters, can clean and reuse many a times. Don't know how many gallons until cartridge change, but I can pick one up for ~$30-40 at any outdoor store. Very easy to use and maintenance is a snap. Names like KATADYN, MSR, and PUR ya can't go wrong.
