sidwynder505 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 My wife took her buck opening day a little after noon time!She was shooting a custom made 30.06 made by Doyle Shamley from "Shamley Arms"!! We had found the little group 3 bucks at day break! We were short of time so she elected to take the 2x2 that was broken on left side! We had her set up a couple time's until the buck stood up at 584 yards and with one shot dropped the buck! i very proud of her! congrats to my wife! it was not the biggest one on the mountain! but it was her's and she had ben getting ready for this shot all summer!! : ) 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sidwynder505 Report post Posted October 31, 2012 Thanks guy's! i never belived a 30.06 could shoot like that eather! but the guy who bilt it did a wonderful job with the sit up!! turrets and mil-dot scope! barrel etc,! then i read the story of Gunnie Sargent Carlos Hathcock!! he did amazing things with the 30.06!!...and my wife can flat out "SHOOT"!!
