Are you healthy and Wealthy?

Ok my fellow members and guess of this magnificent hunting site,I believe that Buffalo Bill was the one that said "Hunting is for the Healthy and Wealthy". So I want to ask you what is your opinion on that?Do you agree or disagree with that statement? And Why?

Thanks and God bless you all.

Well lets put it this way, for coues, I think you have to be a person that has to be healthy and have the physical capabilities to hike in rugged country. For Eastern whitetail you can drive up to your treestand and feeder, get your fatt butt up the ladder, and you're in business. I'm not rich, but I only hunt once a year in my home state for deer and elk. It is often said that hunting is a rich mans sport and there is a lot of truth to that. If I were rich, I would have the time off and the ability to spend more money to hunt many species in many different states. This can be said of any hobby or sport. I am happy that I haven't been turned down for a coues tag yet, and I have been able to hunt every year that I have put in. I personally feel the best wealth a person really does have is to have the health to get out and hunt.

I don't believe that statement. I wonder if it was taken out of context when he said it, I would have thought that the people with less money would have had to hunt to support their families. In Europe I think that statement might have been true, wasn't hunting restricted to certain classes of people. All that being said if I have the money to buy a tag and go hunting I'm going and I am far from being wealthy.

Maybe for the heathy, which I gave thanks for because without it we can not hunt. We have all said it before "I will hunt as long as I am able to"

Wealthy, I consider myself to be one of the richest poeple I know. No I did not win the powerball YET, or have much money to speak of but rich in life. GOD has had me and mine in his graces for a long time and I know his will for all my days. When I go to sleep and when I awake I give thanks for all I have.

We as hunters get to see GODS gifts that he has given to all man. To see that great sunrise/sunset, the hills, trees, and wildlife. Not every one sees the beautiful things we do. We are truly blessed, sometimes we just forget how much!
