What animal are you looking for? Whitetail or Coues deer?

I spent alot of time this past January during the archery hunt. I spent most of it west of sunflower and west of MT. Ord. We didn't see much. We saw most of our deer around Payson, North West of Rye. If I were you I would go higher around Payson. If you need any more help feel free to give me a call and I will try to point you in the right direction.

That unit is loaded with whitetail!!! They've been getting lots of rain up there in the last month and perhaps it's washing away a lot of your sign? I was up there this weekend and most of the tracks have been washed away from trails and from around tanks from all the rain. All of the areas mentioned are good places to start.

When I was hunting 22 last year I noticed that the deer seem to live in clusters with deer densities varying greatly. Some areas I would find loaded with deer and other areas I would glass for hours and find nothing.

I am sure that if you keep looking you will be able to find some areas with good deer densities.
