270 win

Recommended Posts

My 270 really likes Nosler BT. The BT have performed very well on the Coues I've shot with them. I wouldn't use them on anything larger though.

Don't know about the powder as it's not one I use for it.

You can try IMR 4831, R19, R22. I have good success with all these powerwith nosler bullets Barnes and hornady. 130 grn to 140 grn. good luck have fun with it. im sure you will find you a good load. i have shot many deer with the BTs. it does alot of dammage. my favorite is the partion.

Also to add insight on balistic tip bullet . My 7mm loves the 140 grain BT and shoots great out to 900yrds. As far as bullet, shot placement as always will get it done. My Mullie was taken at 420yrds with that load he was bedded, stood up then fell back over dead. Imr4350 140BT 7mm sub .5 MOA

4350 should work well in that case as well as that bullet. You shouldn't have a problem finding a recipe it likes.

I use H4350 in my .270 when loading 130 gr triple shocks and they shoot great, not the bullet or powder I use for Coues though.

I use Hodgdon instead IMR as it is less sensitive to temp variations (loss of velocity in very cold weather). Other than that I would assume you have a good combo there.
