firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted October 19, 2012 I'm not a ballistic tip fan, but that should be a very good load, or course depending on accuracy.
PRDATR Report post Posted October 19, 2012 Also not a fan of BT's for big game.
scoutm Report post Posted October 19, 2012 My 270 really likes Nosler BT. The BT have performed very well on the Coues I've shot with them. I wouldn't use them on anything larger though. Don't know about the powder as it's not one I use for it.

nighthawk Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I was gonna work on a load for the misses 270 very similar . Imr 4350 and 130/140 grain accubonds . Let me know how it works out
nighthawk Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Also to add insight on balistic tip bullet . My 7mm loves the 140 grain BT and shoots great out to 900yrds. As far as bullet, shot placement as always will get it done. My Mullie was taken at 420yrds with that load he was bedded, stood up then fell back over dead. Imr4350 140BT 7mm sub .5 MOA
STOMP442 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 4350 should work well in that case as well as that bullet. You shouldn't have a problem finding a recipe it likes.
Mike S Report post Posted October 25, 2012 I use H4350 in my .270 when loading 130 gr triple shocks and they shoot great, not the bullet or powder I use for Coues though. I use Hodgdon instead IMR as it is less sensitive to temp variations (loss of velocity in very cold weather). Other than that I would assume you have a good combo there.
