Hanksaiditbest Report post Posted October 16, 2012 I found what seems to be a really good deal on a tripod/pistol grip combo. Its a ravelli 70" tripod with a vertical ball pivot pistol grip for $90 new. The suggested retail is supposedly $399. Anyone have any input on ravelli? The price looks almost too good to be true. PRDATR Report post Posted October 19, 2012 I haven't used one personally but could use a new one, provided it's not heavy as I don't need too much extra weight in my pack. Found a few of them here, http://www.nextag.com/ravelli/stores-html If you get one let us know how it does.

elk77hunter Report post Posted December 13, 2012 I have this one. Very heavy duty and very durable. A great tripod to glass from, but too heavy for me to hike all day with. I went to a lighter one. Plus just to fit in my pack I had to screw off the pistol grip.
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted December 13, 2012 You should check out the tripods in the store here on CouesWhitetail.com. I recently added a carbon fiber tripod that is my new favorite. Sturdy and lightweight. http://store.coueswhitetail.com/promaster-carbon-fiber-tripod-t325p/
Hanksaiditbest Report post Posted December 14, 2012 Any new info on these? I ended up buying the tripod and using it on one hunt. The overall quality exceeded my expectations and the pistol grip was surprisingly smooth and fluid. The only downfall... It's a little too heavy for the hiking that I do. It is extremely sturdy though, and a great tripod for a heavy spotting scope or camera and still an amazing value for the cost. I think I'll sell it if anyone is interested
