KiLLAcOuEs Report post Posted October 16, 2012 This is my sister's 2012 34A Javelina. On Saturday the 13 She and my Step dad went out and at first light, got on the pigs and by 7:00 a.m. she took a 117 yard shot hitting a Javelina! Over joyed they went to recover the pig but as they got closer the pig some how was able to get up and run away. After that she tracked for a couple of hours a very weak blood trail she was unable to get her pig recovered. They decided to head back to town and try again Sunday. Sunday comes and in the morning they returned and tried again to locate the Now wounded Javelina but were unsuccessful. So they then continued to hunt and look for another Javelina. At around 11ish they spotted a group of Javelina almost at the top of the mountain and looked like they were working to the other side. Gut check time!!! At this time my step dad ranged the group at 250 yards at the top of a mountain. My sister only 15 yrs old was unsure of taking the shot at this distance but was able to settle down and squeeze of one round up the mountain hitting the Javelina and drooping him in his tracks! I was So proud of her and glad to see how her perseverance paid off from being bummed one day to being successful the next!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
